There may be no other day than today.
The world, our daily lives may seem real and predictable,
such is the focus on our routine to meet our needs.
Has there ever been a day without one small, unexpected item, thought, idea or person came into your life? Right smack in the center of your oh-so-well planned-out routine?
No, there hasn’t.
The mantra,
"Live each day as if it is your last"
although powerful, may be equally destructive.
There is a lack of caution, as if the results of that day bear no weight in the tomorrow that will inevitably follow.
It is as rich an idea, as it is a poor adage.
But for today:
Embrace the vitality, whimsy, the anticipation of joy, wholeness, fulfillment.
Move forward into the expectation of what glorious surprise awaits you.
It is true; there may be no other day than today,
but- it is likely a tomorrow will follow,
and you will get to look back each day, on the day before,
smile on the fond memories it created and know that today,
you get the chance to do it all over again.
